Facetron Transfer Block

Overview

The Facetron facetron transfer block is a machined alignment fixture used to re-mount a partially cut gemstone from one dop stick to another between the pavilion and crown cutting stages. The fixture accepts 1/2-inch dop shafts in V-groove pin or cradle pads.

Transfer blocks of this class are positioned in the manufacturer's catalog as mid-grade alignment tooling. Higher-precision blocks with adjustable indicator pads are offered at a higher price point.

Concentricity at the transfer stage is a limiting factor on girdle accuracy in the finished stone. Replacement pins or pads are typically available as service parts.
