The Mirage Mirage Digital Faceting Head is a bench faceting machine offered in current production. The system uses a digital angle mechanism and a 1/20 HP DC variable-speed drive. An 8-inch master lap and 96-tooth index wheel are supplied as standard.
Manufacturer specifications list spindle total indicated runout at .0010". The quill accepts 1/2-inch dop shafts, the de facto standard across North American lapidary practice; accessory laps and dops from third-party manufacturers are compatible without adapter.
