The Ultra Tec V2 Classic is a bench faceting machine produced in Santa Ana, California. It combines a rigid mast column, a variable-speed DC motor, and an 8-inch master lap with an analog vernier angle readout. A 96-tooth index wheel is supplied as standard; 64-, 80-, and 120-tooth wheels are available.
The V2 predates the V5 Digital in Ultra Tec's model history and remains in current production. Spindle total indicated runout is stated at 0.0006 inch. The quill accepts 1/2-inch dop shafts and includes a cheater mechanism with a ±5° range.
